The main working language inside FES Geneva office is basically German. Very good written and oral communication skills in German are therefore strongly desired. BUT, since our working language outside FES Geneva office is English, excellent knowledge of English constitutes a sine qua non.

We offer / your work includes

  • Diverse work in a small team,
  • Research on current topics in FES Geneva's fields of activity: trade and development, human rights, social policy and security policy,
  • Designing, planning and organization of conferences and seminars on the above-mentioned topics,
  • Administrative office work,
  • Period: 3 months.

As a rule, the FES pays an expense allowance of 450 Euro/month.
Other expenses such as flight costs, visa fees, etc. are not covered by the FES. These costs have to be paid by the intern.
You must take care of your own health insurance and accommodation.

You bring along

  • Interest in the work of the international organizations in Geneva and previous knowledge in this field,
  • Academic background in political science, social sciences or economics (Master's degree, Bachelor's degree),
  • A strong command of English; German language skills are a plus. Knowledge of French and other foreign languages is not a disadvantage,
  • Sound PC knowledge,
  • Socio-political commitment,
  • Team spirit, commitment and willingness to learn.
